REVIEW: INTERDIMENSIONAL from Bad Ink Studios: An Epic Sci-Fi and Fantasy Anthology Series

Evan Schultz and Lydia Roberts, the talented duo behind Bad Ink’s Interdimensional, have brought us an epic and captivating sci-fi comic series. Bad Ink Studios is an independent publishing company founded by Schultz and Roberts, bringing classic elements to their thrilling series of sci-fi and fantasy shorts.

Schultz and Roberts have described Interdimensional as “snackable sci-fi” and “premium pulp”, drawing inspiration from classic tropes, EC Comics, and Heavy Metal magazine. The visuals in this series are stunning, from hand-drawn to digital elements. Each story gives us unique visuals that elevate these stories.

From astronauts stuck on an unknown planet with gruesome monsters to post-apocalyptic biker gangs, these stories are enthralling and hook you from the first few panels. Interdimensional brings you into new worlds with in-depth lore that keeps you wanting more. Each story is stylized to perfectly highlight the theme and tone they are communicating, with a lot to admire, analyze, and interpret. Schultz and Roberts have shown us incredible craftsmanship and creativity.

You can find Interdimensional on Bad Ink Studios’s website; they have PDFs, physical copies, original art, and merchandise. Issues one and two are available now. Bad Ink Studios is on TikTok and Instagram, where they make some incredible videos that are funny and also go into depth on their creative process and inspirations.
